A Tribute to Gene Euene

This is a special issue devoted completely to remembering Gene “Eugene” Andrusco.  It features stories and memories from friends, family, and fans.  There is also a special section with photographs from Gene’s childhood sent to us by Gene’s Mom herself.  Scattered through out the stories are promo shots, exclusive live images, and a few other rare Gene images.  All this and reviews of every Adam Again album.

Action Spotlight:

Don’t just complain about the world – do something to change it

STOP THE TRAFFIK is “a global movement working to combat the fastest growing global crime, people trafficking. Around the world men, women and children are being treated as commodities—something to be bought, sold, and enslaved. STOP THE TRAFFIK has more than 1000 member organizations in 50 countries & a grass roots following of ordinary activists around the world. Some of us sign petitions, wear symbols of the campaign, spread the message, and some of us show our support through adapting our lifestyles. We believe that when people act things change. We are working together in areas of education, advocacy and fundraising.” See www.stopthetraffik.org (STOP THE TRAFFIK did not buy this ad nor do they endorse this magazine – just givin’ ya food for thought)

Vision:

Down the Line covers bands that explored the intersection between faith and art in the 1980s through the early 1990s – even though they were probably never accepted in to what is called “Contemporary Christian Music” because they were too edgy or alternative or liberal or for whatever reason. Some of these bands may still be making music today, and others may have moved on. We cover these bands (active or dormant) as well as any new projects by former members of these bands and any new bands that may have the same spirit as these bands.

  1. Thanks for the great tribute to one of my favorite artists. I’ve always wondered why none of Gene’s unreleased music has surfaced since his passing. Your article mentions work on an album after Perfecta…where are those tracks? And I’m sure there’s plenty of solo demos and Lost Dogs stuff too. I’ve really enjoyed a lot of the music that was released after the deaths Mark Heard and Rich Mullins. I’m sure Gene’s fans would appreciate hearing more of his music if it’s out there. Do you know why nothing’s ever been released? Is anything in the works?
