The Prayer Chain Releases Humb (Early Version of Mercury)

Fans of The Prayer Chain have heard all of the stories surrounding the band’s acclaimed release of Mercury. We have known for a while that there was an original version that Reunion Records rejected as being difficult to sell. Have you ever wondered what that version sounded like? Well, wonder no more. Now you can listen to or buy Humb, the early version of Mercury, on the band’s BandCamp page. Also on the page is a fairly comprehensive story of the album. All proceeds from the sale of the albums on the band’s site go to charity.

Prayer Chain Re-Issues “So Close… Yet So Far” Digitally

The Prayer Chain bandcamp page is keeping active by now offering the classic and hard to find Prayer Chain compilation So Close… Yet So Far.  This collection was a self-released compilation/retrospective/rarities album with two discs full of material. Long out of print and rare, you can now get it for $12.99 or purchase per song.  But if you buy a full album download, you also get a pdf file of the original CD booklet which includes good liner notes and “goofy” pictures.

Also on the Bandcamp page is the band’s debut CD The Neverland Sessions for purchase and the rare Mercurious album for listening.  All proceeds go to charity.
