Divine Child formed in 1995 in Lakeland, Florida. They released their first self-recorded and published EP //Every Seven Minutes// in 1998. In March 1999, the band signed a record deal with [[6x6 Records]] and changed their name to [[Denison Marrs]], citing conflicts with existing usages of "Divine Child."
