Rainbow Rider is another synth/pop project from Ronnie Martin of Dance House Children. It follows a similar formula as the Dance House Children albums, with a noticeable growth in songwriting but without the psychedelic numbers that Ronnie’s brother Jason sometimes brought to the table. Ronnie has stated that Rainbow Rider is actually the name of the album, with Beautiful Dazzling Music meant to be part of the title of a third Dance House Children album. However, Jeff Cloud claims that Rainbow Rider was the band name, meant to be a re-branding of Dance House Children as a new band. According to Cloud, Knott pushed for the band to still be Dance House Children. But when Martin and Cloud played live, they booked as Rainbow Rider, they had Rainbow Rider on T-shirts, etc.
After the one release as Rainbow Rider, Ronnie re-branded as Joy Electric.
