Bad little Duck started in 1992 under the name The Messengers. Thierry Lee joined the band and they found out that there was a Christian Jazz band with the same name. They wanted a name with a bit more humor, so they thought of Ugly Duckling. That was hard to pronounce in the French part of Switzerland where the band lived, so they decided go with Bad Little Duck.

Bad Little Duck has had three bass players. Jean-Michel got married, had a kid, and decided to focus on managing the band. He created a record-company called Ugly Records.

As of 2000, the band was planning a follow-up CD to Full Color Inside that was a different sound - more rapcore and more samples / machine-sounds. The lyrics would also be more worship-focused. They had at least 15 songs ready for this album, but it is unknown what happened with that album or if it was ever recorded.
