Disciple
Hard Rock
Adelaide, South Australia
Formed in Adelaide, South Australia in December, 1987. Disciple played melodic hard rock. Their first demo, Sacred Knights, released locally in May, 1988. Originally recorded as a demo tape, it sold well, above all expectations. It was later picked up by a national distribution company. Disciple opened for Stryper in their Adelaide concert on the In God We Trust Tour in March, 1989, Another release was a 7“ single, with the band coming to an end some time after that. Disciple combined hard rock with both melody and harmony to provide a powerful style of music which retained commercial viability.
