Funk Metal
Kansas City, Missouri, USA
Hot Pink Turtle was born on December 13, 1989. Bil Brown of Dig Hay Zoose also participated in the initial forming of HPT. They played the Kansas City music scene for a couple years, got some label attention, recorded one national release, toured for 18 months or so, then - kind of fell apart about the same time that their label went bankrupt. HPT recorded songs for three national releases: 1992, The REX Music Sampler; 1993, Ticklewigglejigglepickle; and 1994, I Predict A Clone (A Steve Taylor Tribute). In addition, they recorded seven unreleased songs for what would have been their second studio album, Horsechild. The guys are all alive and well, in Missouri and Tennessee, living life, and continuing to rock - each in their own way.
Dion Tyler formed a band called Dev Null with Dave Anderson of Dig Hay Zoose in 1997.
