Saltine was formed by Ken Stringfellow (formerly of The Posies), Blake Wescott (formerly of Bloomsday), John Haslip, and Paul Mumaw (formerly of Soulfood 76).
Saltine was also one of the possible bands considered for inclusion on the never completed third volume of the Art Core compilation series on Tooth & Nail Records.
