Red Ink
Death/Thrash Metal
Spring, Texas, USA
From the band’s Facebook page bio: “Born out of Houston, TX., in the late 80’s was Houston’s only christian death metal band. They dominated the Houston area with their punk/death sound. The band spent a majority of their time playing at the After Dark Club in Houston, but yet their music was heard all over the globe.
Original members Cecil “Oatmeal” Johnson (bass), Jorge Molne (lead guitar), Matt Hallen (drums), Ash Henson (vocals/rhythm guitar.) After a large following with fans, Oatmeal retired from the band to pursue a new career, leaving the band in a three piece right after recording their Brutal Recompense album. Many new bass players came and went while the band still continued to play shows. Due to the band struggling to stay together and yet work their jobs, it became difficult to practice. As the situation worsened the band just decided to call it quits as they were pursuing other careers at the time .”
