posted in: Music Video (new) | 0

The alternative band SLIDE released their first music video in August 2010. The title of the track is called “Dime Store Queer”. The music follows a man’s journey backward in time, where he is forced to face past memories of bullying that happened to him during his high school years. In doing so, he begins to understand the source of his anger after re-visiting and witnessing the abusive imagery. Actress Mary McDonough from the classic/Emmy award TV show “THE WALTONS” has a cameo role in the video. The video takes a stand against bullying and hazing in general. The video was shot with HD cameras and directed by Matt Brailey and Kyle Wade of Chapman University Film School. Filming locations included Orange High School, Marion Knott Studios, and Sound Matrix studios, all of which are located in the Southern California/Orange County area.
