“I Want You” is a new solo track by Jeff MacKey of Writ on Water. The song was written by Jeff’s Uncle Jerry and recorded as a tribute to his memory:
“Jerry was also a wonderful musician and songwriter—and a major reason why I wanted to play guitar as a child. So as a tribute, I have arranged and recorded one of my favorites of his songs—a love song called ‘I Want You.’ It has been a powerful and emotional experience for me to commune and collaborate with him on this project.”
An EP from MacKey will follow later this year. Jon Sonnenberg played drums on “I Want You,” and the song was mastered by Paolo Licciardi.
