Started off as Element 316, then changed names to Element, and finally Element 101.

"The indie funk five-piece Element 101 hails from New Jersey and molds their own brandish scale of punk rock, reminiscent of Elvis Costello, the Go-Go's, All, and the Descendents. Signed to [[Tooth & Nail Records]], Element 101 is comprised of vocalist Crissie Verhagen, guitarists Chris Mizzone and Danny Papa, bassist Sal Ciaravino, and drummer Nick Acocella. They issued their debut //Future Plans Undecided// in spring 2000. //Stereo Girl// followed in early 2001. By the time Element 101 prepped for their third album, they'd reach a new musical level. //More Than Motion//, which was released in fall 2002, showcased a new found confidence from the band as well as a melodically tight sound."
