Formerly known as [[disciple_ohio]], they were a thrash band that decided to go heavier when lead vocalist Tracy Richard left and James Brueshaber joined.

News items from Screams of Abel:

  * "Godhead will put out their second demo in a few months pending finances.  They are a 4-piece brutal thrash band from Toledo, Ohio."
  * "Godhead has released their second demo in a far more brutal and authentic death metal vein."

In the October / November 1992 issue of //The Cutting Edge//, drummer Jerry Siler said that the band a song called "Antinomianism." He also mentioned that the band was planning to release a 6 song demo in November of 1992.
