Ian Ripper front-man Lance Keltner was interviewed in the September 1985 issue of //[[Heaven's Metal]]// magazine. His other band [[Witness]] was recording music for [[Morada Records]] at the time. The article mentioned interest in the band from Epic, Atlantic, and Enigma Records. Lance described Ian Ripper as a Hard Rock version of U2, while [[Witness]] was more straight forward lyrically like [[Stryper]].
