"Recorded in the summer of 1996 at Rosewood Music in Findlay, Ohio, //The Rosewood Session// became the swan song for Jesus Flying Rocketship. Just months after these tracks were laid down, the band broke up suddenly that winter — making this their final and most elusive work.

Tracked on ADAT in the showroom of a local guitar shop, the sessions were engineered and mixed by Thomas Cupp, who worked at Rosewood Music at the time. The vibe was pure mid-90s indie: raw, melodic, and drenched in shoegaze textures. “I’ll Be OK” bursts with fast, hook-driven energy reminiscent of Superdrag, while “Blanket” leans into a dreamy, layered shoegaze soundscape that feels like a late-night drive through foggy streets.

For decades, these songs were ghosts—heard only by a handful of friends and family. Now, remastered from the lone surviving tape, this release preserves the analog warmth while giving the sound a subtle lift. It’s a time capsule from an era when music was made for passion, not algorithms—a final transmission from a band that burned bright and then disappeared."
