Nova Satori is a band mostly know as an early band formed by Joshua Dooley of [[MAP]] fame, who recruited Jason Martin of [[Starflyer 59]] fame to play drums. In 1992, Dooley was invited to a concert and made a joke about how he wished he could open. His friend Mike Perez made this joke a reality. Perez suggested that Dooley get Jason Martin of [[Starflyer 59]] and two other friends to play. They quickly put together a band in 5 days and called it Nova Satori. Nova Satori's first concert was in Redlands. The band played about five shows and recorded some songs with Bob Moon. But soon the band kind of fizzled. In 2013, Dooley released the songs that had been recorded on BandCamp.
