Black Metal
Jakarta, Indonesia
Thought to be named after Horde's song “The Day of Total Armageddon Holocaust.” Armageddon Holocaust was originally intended to be a one album project featuring Doctor D (Bealiah), Dark Thriller, and Meister J (Jeff Arwadi of Kekal). Then Doctor D started a solo project in 2001 to play an experimental form of black metal. He only released 3 songs on a promotional split before something strange happened. THT Productions saw the success of Armageddon Holocaust's first album and asked him to release the Doctor D material under that name instead. The planned debut album D-liverance was renamed Radioactive Zone 245 and released as Armageddon Holocaust.
The insert for Radioactive Zone 245 mentioned an upcoming album called Dies Irae which was intially never released. Dies Irae was never released to public, as the rights to the recording master was kept by Dark Thriller (the main songwriter of this album) who left the band in late 2003. Instead the remaining band members rushed to record another album Nekrofonik only in 10 hours with all new material.
Jeff Arwadi (Meister J) remastered and released Dies Irae for the first time to the public as a digital download in September 2013, over a decade after it was actually recorded.
