Alternative Rock
Portland, Oregon, USA
Pep Squad was a poppy rock group from the northwest that made a significant splash in the Christian indie rock scene in the mid-90's. Bryan Everett and Bradley Swanson were also in Motormouth, even though they saw Pep Squad as the joke band and Motormouth as the serious band. Bryan announced to the band one day that he had signed Pep Squad with Sublime Records. The band went to the Green Room to record the band's label debut. Sublime felt that the album was not Christian enough, so they sold the contract to Tooth & Nail Records.
