West Coast Canadian early 1990s band The Logic Conspiracy were influenced by late 80s bands such as The Smiths or The Cure. Carolyn Arends provides BGV on the second song, “Blindness,” before she made it big herself. Chris Jonat is Carolyn Arends' brother.
Sitar influence on some guitar sound reflects singer/songwriter Cameron Thomson living in Pakistan for the last few years of high school. Some songs were written then (1988-1990).
They were students at Trinity Western University in BC and mostly played local club scene (Hokus Pick Maneuver were local competitors with a more “Christian” sound). Then they broke up and bass player Chris Jonat went on to found secular Clumsy Lovers. Cameron Thomson also on guitar and vocals was with Clumsy Lovers for their early years. Clumsy Lovers had a large loyal following and more commercial success, but still mostly Pacific Northwest.
