Kenneth Mitchell, John Kilpatrick, Andrew Mitchell, and Alan Stewart started out as a band called Borag Thungg. Murray McEwan joined the band on guitars in 1986, and by 1987 they had changed their name to GoGo Street to match their evolution into a more pop-oriented band.
