Lisan Al-Gaib were a short-lived experimental band that toyed with ambient, goth and noise styles, often utilizing free-form performances borrowing from free-jazz in form, if not in sound. Originally naming themselves the Worldhate Union, the band later settled on the Dune-inspired Lisan Al-Gaib, meaning “the voice from another place.” The band was spearheaded by guitarist/trumpeter/vocalist Joel Bordeaux and bassist Pierson Greer, with other musicians moving in and out of the collective as needed.
