 MAP is an indie pop band from Riverside, California that consists of Josh Dooley (guitar, voice, harmonica) and various people that can work with him when he is recording new material. -From about 1992 until 1999 Dooley would play solo sets at various coffeehouses. Dooley got invited to go to a show in 2000 and made a joke about how he wished he could open. His friend Mike Perez made it happen. Perez suggested that Dooley get Jason Martin of [[Starflyer 59]] and two other friends to play. They quickly put together a band in 5 days and called it [[Nova Satori]]. Nova Satori's first concert was in Redlands. The band played about five shows and recorded some songs with Bob Moon.  Dooley met Noah Lamberth who wanted to form a country band (like Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson, not country pop) mixed with Pink Floyd. This band was called [[Hank Floyd]].
