77s Unplugged “Guadalupe” Tour & Michael Roe Kickstarter Campaign

Lo-Fidelity Records is pleased to announce the 77s Unplugged “Guadalupe” promotional tour, and upcoming Michael Roe Kickstarter campaign….
“The number 13 is a lucky number for some. For others, it may be ominous or foreboding. As I entered the year 2013, I realized that it had been 13 years since the passing of my beloved friend Gene Eugene. I suddenly waxed nostalgic as I recalled rumors of Gene’s unfinished Adam Again album to be titled “Guadalupe” and how it inspired me to write a song with that same name. The lyric is filled with remembrance and longing for my grandfather and all the places we went fishing together, but somehow the song was about Gene as well. Upon rehearing, it reminded me of so much unfinished business we have with others, ourselves and our life’s work — things we should or could have done but never got around to. This certainly applies to many songs I’ve recorded over the years that I felt I could have represented better or with a different approach. At this point in my life, that usually means simpler, with less clutter and ornamentation.
Recently, I asked a bunch of my Facebook fans to share with me what songs of mine had meant something important to them. The response was overwhelming, as were the stories about why certain tunes had an impact. This inspired me to revisit some of them in a quieter, simpler way. We can’t change the past, but if we try, we can sometimes change the way we feel about it. Some things never get done, but sometimes we can do for others the things they left undone. “Guadalupe” is my attempt at doing just that for myself, my grandfather, Gene Eugene and all of you, complete with an all new song, “U U” written especially for you, the fans…” ~~ Michael Roe

Track listing for “Guadalupe” is as follows ~

Come And Gone
Dig My Heels
Come Down Here
For Crying Out Loud
I Need God
The Jig Is Up
Hard Times Come Again No More

In support of the “Guadalupe” release, Michael Roe and David Leonhardt are pleased to again tour as 77s Unplugged where they will perform songs from “Guadalupe” and the extensive 77s/Roe catalog. A limited number of “Guadalupe” CDs will be available for purchase directly from Michael on the current tour. We will also be launching a Kickstarter campaign at the end of April where you will be able to purchase “Guadalupe” on CD and Vinyl, as well as packages with additional releases and extras that all die-hard fans will want to have. Proceeds from the Kickstarter campaign will go towards funding the writing and recording of Michael Roe’s next solo album of all new original material. (Please note, fans wanting to purchase “Guadalupe” on the upcoming tour can do so and will still be able to take part in the lower level Kickstarter campaign packages without having to re-purchase the CD.) Please stay tuned for more info and announcements coming later in April.
