“Damien Jurado and David Bazan (Pedro the Lion) met in high school and were playing together in the hardcore bands Human Struggle and The Guilty, which - after Eben Haase (Blenderhead, Fellsway) joined as guitarist and Jurado switched from lead to rhythm guitar and bass - evolved into Lioness. They changed their name to Coolidge because there were too many other bands with the name Lioness. Coolidge played clubs and house shows in the Northwest of the United States, once opening for Earth Crisis.”

“'Here is the recorded history of Seattle, Washington's Coolidge. 14 songs recorded with mostly borrowed equipment to 4-track, and 8-track in a living room, and on radio. Aside from a few homestyle cassettes, and t-shirts made during their time as a band, this is all that remains.'

Despite this announcement the record lacks “Trapped” from I'm Your Biggest Fan Volume One (A Punk Rock & Emo Compilation) which is an alternate recording of track 8.”
