Delirium Blue
Alternative Rock / Gothic Rock
Redondo Beach, California, USA
Delirium Blue was born April 7, 1986 in Chuck Rodriquez's garage with the first song 'Defiled Havens' after Association of the Cross (AotC) ended. AotC came to an end when Chuck Smith saw the band play at his church and decided to shut down the Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa Christian concert series.
Jamie Makarczyk and Neal Vorndran of AotC joined up with Jamie's brother Neal as well as Chuck. Chuck also played in Immortal Youth / Nobody Special, The Meek, The Pure Harts, and Private Confession, as well as worked as a roadie for Undercover, Altar Boys, Youth Choir, Stryper, Guardian and others. He also worked for Maranatha at Whitfield Studios.
Delirium Blue were known to play Sister of Mercy songs such as “Adrenochrome” and others. Brian Doidge joined the band in September 1987. At some point, the band joined with Michael Knott to form The Tribe, which changed names to Skinny Elvis and eventually Bomb Bay Babies when Doidge left to form Ball and Chain. Alex and Neal joined L.S. Underground to record Wakin' Up the Dead, which was made up of former Bomb Bay Babies songs.
Requiem was recorded between 1992 and 1993. Jamie and Chuck later played in an Orange County band called Kick Dog Choir.
