“The melodic death metal band, based in Lansing, Michigan, Summer Dying formed in 2001 out of the ashes of Somber. Over the next few years, these guys released Beyond the Darkness Within (a 7-Song CD) on May 20, 2013 and One Last Taste of Temptation on May 23, 2003 before ending in 2005. Flatlined/Of Pain and Progression Single was released in 2005, the last two songs recorded before Summer Dying's 2005 breakup plus two live versions of these tracks. The band did reunite in 2017 to honor their fallen brother Bobby L Bryant.”
