Wish

Power Pop
Pheonix, Arizona, USA

Wish formed in 1995 and played their first show in a club called the Cellar. They played hundreds of shows with bands such as Five Iron Frenzy, Starflyer 59, The Supertones, P.O.D., Common Children, Black Eyed Sceva, and Third Eye Blind. They released two eps and one full-length album. The release party for their full length CD Reflections from the Edge of the Earth on November 9, 2001 at the Daily Grind also served as the end of the band. Wish vocalist/guitarist Ryan Brown commented “While we’ve done a ton of stuff together over the years and accomplished a lot, for whatever reason, we just never felt the time was right as a band to record a full length. While Mark, Dave, and I will continue to make music together in the context of various future projects, we all felt that the time had come for Wish to come to an end. This album ended up being a great capstone for all that Wish has done throughout the years.”

Vocalist / guitarist Ryan Brown has also released several solo albums.
