TO PLAY BENEFIT CONCERT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ON JANUARY 8, 2011, 6pm

Crossroads Church, 2331 Kellogg Ave, Corona, California 92881

Concert to benefit ministerial outreach in Romania

The artists who created a genre of music that shaped the 1980s are reuniting to help the work of today. Undercover, Crumbächer, The Lifters, Michael Roe (of The 77s), Derri Daugherty (of The Choir) will share the stage at Crossroads Church in Corona, California on Saturday, January 8, 2011 in a benefit performance to raise awareness of and funds for LifeQuest’s Romanian Revolution.

Undercover was one of the most revolutionary bands to ever come out of southern California, boldly challenging musical/lyrical preconceptions as it evolved from its pogo-pop beginnings to raw, devastatingly powerful and expressive rock. Ojo Taylor, leader of Undercover, comments, “I’m really excited to be playing this concert with our friends Crumbacher, the Lifters and Michael Roe. The Take 2 Productions crew did an awesome job at the Broken Records Reunion concert in 2005; there were so many great friends and fans of all the bands that came out that we hadn’t seen in years. These are much more than concerts for us. They are a rare and unique experience. I hope everyone comes out to share it with us on January 8.”

Crumbächer released four records in the 1980s that established it as a leader in richly melodic danceable modern pop. “Getting a chance to play music with my friends is always an honor,” says Stephen Crumbacher. “Even twenty-five years ago we knew we were a part of something very special happening in the Christian music scene overall. Now, though times have changed and we have moved on to new adventures, it’s great to know that the joy and optimism from those early years still weaves through the songs and friendships that were and are Crumbächer. Once more with feeling… and once more for the band!”

The Lifters were rockabilly personified, a band combining classic sounds with unimpeachable songwriting and playing skill. The band had a loyal fan base that will be delighted to see them perform again.  It promises to be an irresistible call to celebrate the pleasure of unpretentious, joyous music.

Michael Roe is that rarity among contemporary musicians, a living legend who both deserves the title and refuses to rest on his laurels. His work as leader of seminal rockers, The 77s and a contemplative, gritty solo artist will be on display throughout his performance that will showcase his immense skill as guitarist and songwriter.

Derri Daugherty is well-known for his work as lead singer and guitarist for the modern rock band, The Choir.  He’s also a member of the alt-country super group, The Lost Dogs as well as a prominent recording engineer with credits including, Sixpence None The Richer, Jeremy Camp, Third Day and more.

LifeQuest is a multi-facet outreach that puts into action its belief that deeds, not words are what matter. The proceeds from the concert will assist LifeQuest in its ongoing work in Romania, helping it’s youth establish home ministries.

The concert is the work of Take 2 Productions, which is involved in assorted areas of the music industry. It previously produced the 2005 Broken Records Reunion Concert, which featured Undercover, the Choir, Altar Boys, Crumbächer and 4·4·1.

Joining Take 2 Productions as official sponsors, Meis Music Group and Infinity Music Distribution are re-releasing 25th Anniversary Albums from two of the artists performing; Undercover’s Branded and Crumbacher’s, Escape From The Fallen Planet – available for purchase at the show.
