“Lead On, Kindly Light”
This will be my 5th Kickstarter project.
Another 75 songs or so have “shown up” over the last 6 months, so it’s time give some of them a decent introduction, fanfare & birthday!
“LEAD ON, KINDLY LIGHT”
Call it “Spirit-Rock.”
Call it Americana rock & roll bleeding with that rugged “faith that gets ya’ through the night.”
While not specifically hymnody the album is saturated with those deep & sonorous elements of all that makes the great hymns of yesteryear timeless and inspiring. And it does so without departing one bit the Americana-drenched genre I so dearly love.
The project will involve, as usual, all aspects of writing, arranging recording and mixing. Added to that will be the variables of mastering, art work & replication. (We are hoping to have national folks-artist & musicologist Kreg Yingst render the CD version’s expanded art work! You may recall that Mr. Yingst just finished rendering stunning new art work for the VoL/Killing Floor Double Vinyl which drops this December, as well!)
