“Back in 2005 Swimsuit Grandma released the EP Let’s Have Church. We played some awkward shows acoustically and as a band. There was a Christian coffee house scene in New Orleans at the time and so we played to Christian audiences that didn’t know how to respond to what we were doing.
With song titles like, “Sister Big Boobs” and lyrics like:
I’ve got my Prayer of Jabez boxers
Got those Footprints in the Sand
Got that painting by Joni Eareckson Tada
You know she can’t use her hands
We angered some people, caused some to laugh and hopefully offended everyone.
