A Common Goal / False Idle Split

posted in: August 2015, Music Review | 0

splitdecisionSplit album featuring two of the top bands on the Thumper Punk roster. A Common Goal is a bit more on the melodic side of punk, while False Idle leans more towards straight ahead punk. Of course, both bands also mix melody and in your face attitude, so what do I know? This is a short ep, but the energy and conviction needed to make punk interesting are present, while the clichés of pop punk are avoided. That makes this ep a good place to check out both bands.
